CHARLOTTE, N.C. — International GT has officially announced its 2027 competition calendar, locking in dates across premier road-racing circuits in the United States and introducing a brand-new venue for the championship finale.
The upcoming campaign maintains the series’ tradition of pairing high-caliber GT machinery—predominantly late-model Porsche and Ferrari challenge platforms—with North America’s most revered historic tracks.

Season Opener at Sebring

The 2027 season will once again launch at Sebring International Raceway in March. Renowned for its punishing concrete bumps, flat-out technical sections, and deep endurance racing heritage, the Florida track serves as an early-season trial of durability and driver precision.
Just three weeks after tackling Sebring, teams and drivers will travel north to Georgia for round two at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, taking on the steep elevation swings and fast rhythm of the Braselton circuit.

Summer Stretch and Fall Shake-Up

Throughout the late spring and summer months, the series will continue its tour across historic road courses before reaching a high-stakes final stretch:
  • VIRginia International Raceway (VIR): The penultimate round returns to Alton, Virginia, in late September. The flowing, 3.27-mile natural-terrain layout remains a driver favorite and will serve as the setup round heading into championship deciders.
  • Barber Motorsports Park (Season Finale): For the first time in series history, International GT will conclude its championship season at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, scheduled for mid-October.Barber's tight 17-turn, 2.38-mile layout replaces Circuit of the Americas (COTA) as the closing venue, ensuring a technical, visually stunning backdrop for the title coronation.

Focus on Grid Stability and Growth

The calendar reveal follows a series of operational milestones for the sanctioning body, including multi-year technical alignments and expanding paddock participation. Series organizers highlighted that the 2027 slate was curated directly in response to team and driver feedback, aiming to balance geographic logistics with track time at world-class facilities.
Entry portals, supplemental event regulations, and weekend support series lineups will be published closer to the start of the 2027 season.
