BRISBANE, Australia — Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), billed as the world’s fastest-growing combat sports promotion, delivered an explosive night of early finishes at a sold-out Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on Saturday, October 3. The entire BKFC Fight Night Australia card was streamed globally on The BKFC App.
Main Event: Kuhne Demolishes Curran in 58 Seconds
In Saturday’s must-see main event, Gold Coast native Josh “Kamikaze” Kuhne improved to 2-0 under the BKFC banner by tearing through Adelaide’s “Fighting Irish” Shaun Curran in a welterweight thriller.
Kuhne wasted no time putting his power on display, sending Curran—who was making his promotional debut—to the canvas three times before the referee halted the action after just 58 seconds of the opening round.
Both of Kuhne’s victories inside the Squared Circle have come via knockout. Following his lightning-fast victory, Kuhne immediately set his sights on the upcoming BKFSea Bruise Cruise scheduled for January 22–25, 2027.
"I’m happy, I’m healthy, and I’m going to sell those tickets for the Bruise Cruise, baby! Get the kids, we’re going to Miami, we’re going to The Bahamas! Let’s go!"— Josh Kuhne
Co-Main Event: Flanagan Stops Heke in Heavyweight Clash
Brisbane’s own Mark “Bam Bam” Flanagan brought the crowd to its feet in the co-main event, scoring a knockout victory over late-notice replacement Kaylib Heke.
Flanagan, a former World Boxing Association (WBA) title challenger in gloved boxing, bounced back to 1-1 in BKFC. Heke, traveling from Auckland, New Zealand on short notice earlier in the week, drops to 0-1.
Speaking in his post-fight interview, Flanagan made it clear he believes his dominant performance should earn him a coveted spot in BKFC’s upcoming World's Baddest Man Tournament: "I’m going to [expletive] them up!"
