WEST HARTFORD CT — Braving cool temperatures and steady rain, the Conard and Hall girls soccer teams renewed one of the town's best rivalries Tuesday night as the Red Wolves hosted the Titians in the first of two meetings this season.
When the final whistle sounded, neither team had been able to gain the upper hand as the match ended in a hard-fought draw.
The crosstown rivals battled through slippery conditions in a competitive contest that showcased strong defensive play and determined efforts on both sides. The result leaves both teams well-positioned as they continue their strong starts to the 2026 campaign.
For Conard, the tie moves the Red Wolves to 6-1-1 on the season. The Red Wolves have emerged as one of the area's top teams and will face another significant test when they travel to Simsbury on Friday, Oct. 2.
Hall improved to 4-1-2 with the draw. The Titians matched Conard's intensity throughout the evening and earned a valuable result on the road. Hall will look to build on that performance when it travels to Bloomfield on Friday, Oct. 2.
While neither team left with bragging rights, the evenly played contest added another chapter to the longstanding West Hartford rivalry. With both clubs expected to remain in the mix for postseason positioning, anticipation is already building for the second meeting later this season.
On a night when the weather was anything but ideal, Conard and Hall delivered the type of spirited, competitive matchup that local fans have come to expect whenever the two West Hartford programs meet.
