Hartford Athletic Extends Unbeaten Streak to Nine with 2-0 Victory Over Sporting JAX

HARTFORD, CT. — Hartford Athletic extended their impressive unbeaten streak to nine matches across all competitions on Wednesday night, securing a decisive 2-0 shutout victory over Sporting JAX at Trinity Health Stadium.

Goals in each half powered the Boys in Green to victory, lifting their USL Championship record to 9-5-10 (W-L-D). Sporting JAX continues to struggle, dropping to 3-17-5 on the season.

Hartford set an aggressive tone early, pressing for an opener. Michael Adedokun nearly put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute with a point-blank attempt. While denied, his effort fueled Athletic’s momentum, eventually earning them a corner kick in the 20th minute.

Sebastian Anderson delivered a precise ball off the set piece into the box, where Jordan Scarlett connected to drive it home in the 21st minute, giving Hartford a 1-0 lead.

Augi Williams came close to doubling the cushion in the 29th minute with a high-grade effort from deep inside the box, but was turned away. Hartford completely dominated the opening 45 minutes, heading into halftime without allowing Sporting JAX a single shot on target (5-0).

The second half saw Sporting JAX attempt to push back, but Hartford’s attack remained dangerous. After Michee Ngalina had a strong strike saved in the 80th minute, he made amends just three minutes later. Ngalina whipped a clean cross across the box to Emmanuel Samadia, who comfortably tapped it home in the 83rd minute to seal the 2-0 win.

Hartford controlled the offensive pace throughout the night, holding a 10-5 advantage in shots on target. Goalkeeper Antony Siaha recorded a save to maintain the clean sheet. Sporting JAX held a narrow 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

Wednesday marked the second all-time meeting between the two franchises. Hartford completes the season sweep, having previously defeated Sporting JAX 3-0 in their first matchup on March 7.
